A national financial services provider was moving a large on-premise estate to the cloud, with regulated workloads, data-residency requirements and a risk function that needed to stay comfortable throughout.
Challenge
The technical migration was not the hard part. Sequencing it so that operations, risk and the regulator could absorb each step — while the business kept running — was.
Intervention
- Assessed which workloads should migrate, which should be re-platformed and which should stay.
- Designed the target landing zone around regulatory requirements from the start.
- Migrated in waves, validating each workload in parallel before cutover.
Outcome
The estate was migrated with regulatory approval and without unplanned outages during the transition.
