An insurer was carrying open Solvency II audit findings and needed remediation that would stand up to a follow-up inspection, rather than simply closing the tickets.
Challenge
Previous remediation had treated findings as documentation gaps. The underlying control weaknesses remained, which meant the same findings were at risk of reopening.
Intervention
- Traced each finding back to the control gap underneath it.
- Rebuilt those controls as operating controls, not documents.
- Produced evidence structured the way a supervisor would expect to follow it.
Outcome
The remediation achieved clean sign-off at the follow-up audit.
